I'm wondering about my A/C system. :banghead: Its been dripping water beneath the
pass. side after use for some time. Also it squeels when the fan is turned to high, especially when first started. I've put belt dressing on the belt to try to eliminate the noise to no avail. Sounds like coming from the compressor. (They're real expensive).
Also i've got a broken 'furry' cable on the pass.side window regulator. Any ideas where I can get a regulator and NOT the motor cheep? Everywhere i've checked sell 'only' with the motor.

As to the squelling, I had the same problem. It is likely your serpentine belt. It either needs to be replaced or adjusted. Can't help you with the other.

1. Dripping water is normal. The AC receiver/dehydrator drains on the RH frame rail. You can redirect it if you want to with a shield.
2. Change the serpentine belt. Inspect it and see if has little cracks in it. You can also adjust the tensioner to tighten it. But if it breaks, no power steering, AC, water pump, or alternator.
3. Don't know about cheap on the window regulator. I don't go cheap, cause it doesn't last. I have enough work keeping the XJ repaired so everything works.
