NO power whatsoever....I NEED A CAR!!

I was at the grocery store last night, and tried to start the car like normal after we put the groceries in the trunk. I turned the key and everything came on, but when i tried to start it the motor turned over for about a half second and quit. Now, nothing will work, no headlights, taillights, instrument panel, nothing! Any advice on where to look first? This one has me stumped, and it's not the battery.....89 LeBaron 2.5 T1 5 speed

Clean battery terminals, loose battery cables, Battery has to have 12.6 volts. Check main fuses.

Hmmm, I really hate to sound like a retard and I like to think I know my car better....Where are the main fuses?? I removed the logic module in the parking lot, but I dont think that's gonna help me. The fuses under the steering column are not involved with the ignition system, at least not the ones I can see. My Haynes manual is not any help at all...:banghead:
