I'm thinking about getting some and am just curious of other's takes on these.... The Phillips and Osram seem to be the most popular... The differences between the two I'm not sure of.... Regardless, I usually am on the '.org' but with it being down and all till tomorrow, I decided to venture over here.... anyways... if anyone has opinions, experiences, places to get them, prices I would be extremely appreciative. By the way, I have a 4th gen SE...

Thanks in advance,
Randy

You'll lose your high beams. People have said that you don't need your high beams when you have HID's, but I tend to disagree. HID's might be bright, but they aren't aimed far out into the road in front of the car like high beams. I've seen Hogan's panasonic's and they looked pretty good. But those were on a 5th gen. Good luck with you decision.

i have HIDS, i don't have high beams, and i'm never going back to stock or fake-HIDS.

i love them. the headlight casing on my car isn't exactly prime HID housing material since it refracts the light a little differently, but I basically light up the whole road for blocks. depending where you live you might need your high beams though i'd say just hook up some fog lights and point em up if u need the extra view distance.

i live in hawaii and only in urban areas, so there's always light around.

anyone know what the difference between the Phillips and Osram version of the HID's are?

I've heard that Phillips give more of a greenish/blue tint...

whereas

Osram gives more of a purplish hue... can anyone w/ HID's confim this?
