I have your sending unit. Do you have my regs?

My shipment from the Isuzu dealer came this morning via FedEx. It looked like too small a box for 2 window regulators. Sure enough, even though the correct shipping invoice was in the box, I got someone else's sending unit and gasket! I'm wondering if I should keep it on the shelf instead of sending it back, but that is a 2nd gen problem, right?

I didn't feel like doing window regulators this weekend anyway!

Got my regulators today after my daughter took my Rodeo off to college. It'll be a sad night without my truck in the driveway for the first time! I'll have to get it done Sunday.

Excellent customer service from St. Charles Automotive again.

Which college is she attending? Tell her not to trash the Rodeo with all the partying.:grinyes:

FGCU. Only about 40 mins from home, if there's no traffic.

When I pulled up at the dorm today, there was a Rodeo parked right next to mine. PARTS CAR!

We took the bottle opener/corkscrew tool out of the kitchen supplies today. Think that'll slow 'em down?

Turns out I only needed the rear reg. Plastic bits had broken off. Again, it's reg and motor in one assembly. Very easy to replace. The front window glass had slipped out of its plastic retaining clip. They used what looks like black RTV to hold it in there. I used crazy glue. See how long it lasts.

Thanks a lot for the tip, trooper. I wasn't sure what I would use if it failed.

I also found that the shop that did that regulator about 7 years ago didn't think the vapor barrier was a necessity. Long gone...
