Power Seat Fix?

Has anyone gone to a salvage yard and gotten a drivers seat to fix their own? Mine hasn't worked in years and I searched the threads here and went and looked at the wires under the carpet. They look great, plus I have power at the plug. So I will have the control unit from under the seat and the switch panel on the side. We shall see if that fixes anything. $75 sure beats almost $1000 for the parts from GM.

I answered my own question..........control unit on the seat from the junk yard worked like a champ. I can now move the seat after 4 years of being stuck in my wifes position. So to all of you out there with power seat problems......go to the salvage yard and get one!
