Your car will have either a TH700R4 or a TH2004R. Most all '84s I've seen have TH700R4s bolted to the 5.0. The 700R4 has a rectangular pan while the 2004R has a pan that's rectangular in the front, trapezoidal at the back, and has two sumps (a large main sump and a smaller sump behind it at the trapezoidal portion of the pan).

It should work if it's not for a 4WD. Just make sure it works before you get it. Provided your car has a 700R4 in it to begin with.
When you put it in, make sure you properly adjust the TV cable or it won't last.

I'm swapping my 200 out for a 700...Is there any crossmember modifications needed to do this swap?

If you can get a 700R4 with dual mounts - one on the tailshaft housing, then no. If, however, you get a standard one - then yes, the crossmember will need replaced with the 700R4 one. Also, you will need a different driveshaft as the two transmission lengths are different - the 700R4 is about an inch and a half longer - so you will need the proper driveshaft as well.
Other than that, the swap is straightforward.
