Supra V6 Vs. Maxima 5spd

What do you guys think I heard his car is slow he doesnt have anything major done to it it has exhaust,intake ect. My friend Has a 2002 Eclipse v6 and I spanked him he said me and the supra would be a good race should I put some money on it??????????

P.S Just got my intake Yesterday

if his supra's not turbo, go for it. i don't think they're that fast n/a

yeah but a supra is a good 350 lbs more than your maxima. rule of thumb is 10 hp for evey 100 lbs

Depends on the year of the supra. If it is an older model with no turbo you have a good chance, 94+ N/A or not you have nothing at all.

There's no such thing as a Supra V6. It's sad no one caught that.

The Supras have inline-6 engines. Are you talking about the most recent JZA80 chassis? If he was having a bad day, it might be a close race.

DAMN, you spanked a V6 Eclipse? Was it stick or auto? My cousin raced his uncles 00 S500 against one and we only beat it by a car at 100mph. Those things are fast as shit.

I think you can take a N/A supra, dont put money down, but the maxima is awesome :)

What kind of Supra is it? Is it Turboed? We need a lil bit more info to be able to tell if the Max could get it. Oh, by the way the Supra isn't a V6 it's a straight six.

Not all the Supras are fast and a 2k2/2k3 or any Max with mods ought to be able to stomp a normally aspirated Supra. Get us some more info and we can definitely tell you if you'll be able to smoke em.

I raced a n/a supra in GA. It was at night and this thing was pretty. Wing exhaust alot of work put into this. Anyhow, we sat side by side at 70 (I was in third) and I let him gun it first. I pulled fast on him, I stopped when I had a car length on him (didn't wanna go too fast). Then he pulls a ricer flyby (dropped back down to third) by the time he had a car length on me I gunned it and caught up and passed him with ease. Next time (it was a long ride) I left it in fourth at 70 and didn't fly by him but eased by him. I think you could take'em just because of my dealings with them. If I could host he video I would show it. YES, I caught it on tape just to prove it.

94 or up Supra will spank whether it is NA or not. They're fast no matter what.:)

Ditto Paonessa, they areant that fast because they weigh so much for a 2 door sports car.

that's mostly why i think a max would win. another is that you got a drive shaft running the whole length of the chassis to power the rear wheels

5 speed max only, I can see a Auto Vs Auto and the Supra winning, they have a much better race tranny than the Maximas granny tranny. The auto on a supra can also handle 500hp+

Is the Supra 5 speed or auto? You would have a chance against an auto. The Supra does way a LOT for a 2 door.

Yeah, I definitely agree about the tranny, not really the strongest or best suited for racing.

A V6 Eclipse? Unless your a 5 speed maxima, there isnt any way in hell a 4 th gen maxima comes close to the Eclipse.

I'd be more afraid of a GSX than a V6 Eclipse...they got a bit fatter, with a less powerful engine. But yeah, they're still relatively quick.

Yeah, doesn't surprise me, the S500 isn't actually that fast due to the huge curb weight. Now a S55 or S600, that's a different story.

It does a 14.4 1/4 so I dont think that matters.
