Leaking coolant

Hello all I have a question and am hoping that someone can help me. I drive a 91 p/u 4x4 with the 3.0 and I've been noticing that my truck has been overheating and I look under it and there's water leaking. The leak is coming from the engine and I'm curious of where the water pump is located. Is it towards the top or bottom of the engine?
