Air tank for airbrushing

I noticed a lot of airbrushing posts.

Does anyone use a air tank for airbrushing? They are the ones used for filling tires. Sorta looks like a compressor tank except without the compressor on it.

I had one when I bought my airbrush in the early '90's but the tank had a expiration date and had to be thrown away.

The best part of it was it held enough air to spray a model. It could go up to 100 psi. The bad part is you need a compressor to fill it.

You might want to consider it since it only costs about $20, is silent, and can be regulated.

Sorry if it's been mentioned before but I did a search and haven't seen anything on it.

I use a Propane Tank (like on bbk)

I put 100psi but I can go more..

cheap solution, quiet while you are working (you fill the tank before) and 100psi il ok for 1 or 2 model..

get a cheap compressor for tire (15$) and some adaptor to get fit the airbrush with the tank and it's done...

oh and you need an air regulator (or you will get 100psi... a bit too much for painting hahaha).. 15$

i use a 9 gallon air tank hooked up to a 2hp industrial compressor, i bougt both units seperately. it works great, its totally silent and it only takes me a few mins to fill up the tank which last for hours, mine holds up to 125psi. but the reason why i choose this setup was so that later on i can use for air tools as well.
