4x4 Not Dis-Engaging

I have a 1995 Ck with a manual transmission and manual transfer case. The problem is that it is sending 12v constantly to the front axle actuator. I have figured out that the tranfer case switch is not being activated or pushed by the tranfer case when it is shifted. I pulled the switch out and it does work. I also put my finger in the switch hole on the transfer case and seems as though there is a cam that comes up and activates the switch. I can only figure two things....either whoever had it before me took the case apart and didn't put the cam back right or they put the wrong switch in the case and it isn't deep enough. Please help!!!!

Sounds like you've figured out what the problem is. While you're thinking about how to fix it, or waiting for more thoughts, why don't you wire in a dash mounted switch that would remove the 12v signal to the front when you don't want it. Just a "shadetree suggestion"...............Steve
