1993 maxima diesels while stopped in the drive position. It feels like it wants to take off by itself or when I'm braking, or when I'm driving. It automatically accelerates by itself at anytime. It doesn't happen often.

...diesels while stopped ... wants to take off ...accelerates by itself ...
Multiple problems, needs more details
- what dieseling means here?
- ? "wants to take off"
- accel: take cruise control fuse out to drop one possible problem source out

you do know that dieseling refers to the vehicle still running after the ignition has been turned off.

...waitin jasuminter's confirmation on this. Maybe he uses that term only for noise or rough idle? (I dont know how injection engine can 'diesel' when nozzles are closed off? Old or broken carburettors tend to leak after shutoff - enabling "dieseling". I do happen to rebuild diesel engines as a hobby, maybe thatswhy I need to hear more details...)
