Anybody out there know if i can use generic 15" steel rims (for winter tires) on my Spec V? Do I need special wheels from Nissan or will any generic 15" wheel with 4/113.4 bolt pattern do.

you have to be careful because the offset for the spec v is different and some people on other forums were having trouible with the rim rubbing the break caliper

Thanks for the info Hinggu. I am having a bitch of a time getting proper Nissan 15" rims. The dealership wants $800cad for rims and blizzacks and no one else has the proper rims. What a fuckn mess.

Gari, i had the same problem too. I looked all over for the right rims, but none so i had to be a bitch and go to the dealer. I paind roughly 670 CAd for 15" and winter slalom tires. it was a hell of a lot of cash i guess. but oh well, can't drive on the 17s

You don't have to go to a 15". If you can find 16" they will do. The OD for our stock tires is 24.74", so if you go with 16" rims you will just need a lower profile tire.
As for the rubber Blizzak's are good. So are the Michelin Alpin's.

Actually Walmart can get rims for our car if you can wait like 2 weeks for the order. I think they want like 67 dollars for them. If you have Frisby Tire out there check it out. Great prices and they stock rims for the V.

Im going to try 16" rims with 215/55 nokians. I hope it works alright, i figure it should because the non-Spec V Se-rs have 16" wheels and probably the same brake calipers

I actually have 15" Nokian Hak 1's on my Spec. These were the same ones I had on my Ford Contour Last year, all had had to do was get new 15" rims. The guys at Steele Case Tires did the swap for me, they had tons of steel rims for the Spec. In fact, while I was there, there was another guy there with a red Spec getting the same rim and tire . I get no rubbing and they work really well. I paid $50 per rim that includes install and balance.
