S.O.S. Need Help W/Alternater Issue

The metal fan attatched to the pulley on the side of the alternater has somehow tightened itself close to the pulley and is causing some serious friction against the alternater housing. Its making a very loud shreiking noise and i'm afraid of driving it like this.

Can anyone give me some advise? Is there an easy fix or will i be buying a new alternator?:banghead:

Strange.

No expert here but sure sounds like the bearings are going inside the alternator.
