I Have a 2003 tl-s one of my hid ballasts went bad and blew out. then my battery died and my srs light came on as well as a new problem now. ive been told that the srs light will go away as soon as i reset it...but the other problem now is that when i turn on my headlights the foglights and high beams flash while making this clicking noise from under the dash in the passenger side...its the same noise that is made from just flashing my highbeams...but then when i unplug the whole headlight assembly which is on the driver side(the one with the blown ballast) the fogs and all other lights work perfectly. but as soon as i plug i back in the start flashing again... any ideas as to whats wrong??
thanks

I'm not sure whats up with the flashing. It could be a preprogramed way of letting you know your light is out. It senses the irregularity in the power draw from the ballast and goes haywire. Then when you unplug the assembly, there's no faulty ballast to interrupt power flow so everything works normally. Thats just my guess, take it with a grain of salt.

my only real suggestion would be buy a replacement ballast. You can get a replacement from a dealer and have them install it or you can order one online and install it yourself. Online will be way cheaper. You need a ballast that uses D2R bulbs and you should be good to go. Get a reputable brand (Matsushita , Denso, Hella etc) or you'll be replacing it again sooner than later.
