More window problems on a 1992 Transport

I am at my wits end! I have had a problem with the driver's side window for three weeks now. I got a little water down in the switch a year ago, and the switch finally went up in a puff of smoke. The passenger window still works. Ordered a new switch for $87, passenger still works, the drivers side does not. When i plugged in the new switch, it jumped 1/8th of an inch and has ot worked since. What the heck is going on??????:banghead:
