Interested in adding a drain plug to my transmisison pan next time it is off. Anyone ever do that? Or is there a third party that makes such a pan?

Most auto parts stores sell a transmission drain plug kit.

It requires drilling a hole in your existing pan. I do currently have one installed, but it leaks slightly. The kit I bought came with nylon washers, which dont do a good job of sealing it completely.

I think the kit was somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 bucks. Go to your local auto parts store and ask around, either that or just look around. With the kit I bought, I shouldve used rubber washers and some type of RTV.

Fluid doesnt just poor out of mine, but it does seep slightly.

But anyway, they are out there, just go have a look around and see what you find.

Heres a thread that shows what I have, plus what some other folks have, plus some other ideas. http://bonnevilleclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=56967&highlight=drain+plug

it is worth your time to take off the tranny pan and clean out the gunk and replace the filter. Unless you plan on racing your Intrigue I don't see the need for a tranny fluid drain-plug.

Try Fastenal or maybe your local farm implement if your car parts place doesn't have the parts. NAPA is great also.
