Hay crew,
My clutch on my 91 G20 is starting to slip. I am considering the following clutches.
:p ACT clutch streetable ($350 +)
:) Center Force Clutch streetable ($480)
Clutch Masters ($280)
:D Stock replacement ($150)
I drive 140 Miles a day on the 101 AKA the parking lot in cali. How much of a pedal difference is there between the stock and say the ACT clutch? Would you recommend this clutch for daily driving? Also, how hard would it be to replace the clutch myself? I would like to get a clutch that will provide performance at the most minimal cost. Has any one used Clutch Masters?
Thanks Juan :bandit:

Oh man. Skip the Center Force and the Clutch Masters.
Do a search on them on the SE-R Mailing List archives. Also search on:
Clutchbastards
Clutch Bastards
Clutchmasterbaters
Trust me, you don't want one.
The ACT is an excellent clutch. It is one of only two aftermarket clutches I would use. It has a slightly higher effort than stock.
I use the JWT clutch in both my G20 with SR20DET and my SE-R that had the same engine as Mike Kojima's in SCC's Project SE-R. The JWT clutch has equivelent clamping force as the ACT and it actually has a lighter effort than stock. Honest. It's unbelievable.
Stick with either OEM, JWT, or ACT.

I also recommend ACT clutches..they are very nice and the disk is made by Exedy!!!!
I should have installed my clutch with the motor install but didnt have enough money, however, i might give JWT clutch a try...i've been hearing good reviews on those. If you want to get the ACT clutch, I have a set in stock. email me.
