Speedometer Problems

Hello Everyone,
Am relatively new to the Nissan scene, however, I have purchase two Nissans in the past 9-months. A 90 240sx with engine problems and a 90 300zx with light frt end damage. I rebuilt the KA24E in the 240. Apparently the car had set for a while and am having problems with the speedometer. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes when it's not working correctly it will show 10-15 mph when am actually running 55-65-mph. And other times it will lay on zero mph. The car has been running since the first of September. I just haven't had time to work on it lately due to working ovetime at my job. I was just wondering if anybody else had this problem and what they did to fix it.

The 300zx I purchased a few weeks ago because I was so impressed with the 240. Am currently purchasing the parts I need to repair it. All I need is the frt bumper, lft frt fender, fog light housing, coolant reservoir and the lft turn signal. Am very exicted about getting this car on the road. However, am some what intrigued with the possibilities on the wide variety of engine options for the 240. If I would have know more about the KA24DE or the SR20DET I probably would have not rebuilt the KA24E.

I have learned a lot about Nissan's in the past several months from this Forum.

I would appericate any help or suggestions. Thanks,
