So I was riding along near Florence, SC when I saw some road debris ahead. I changed lanes to avoid it, but the indestructible (heh) truck in front of me intentionally hit the 4 foot metal car piece (?) and it went airborne into MY windshield, drivers mirror, and outer sail panel and left a 6" dent. What about all these folks leaving debris in the road, and these ultra intelligent SUV owners? (I see these people upside down a lot!) What about trucks spitting those big tires out everywhere? Lotsa brain dead folks out there, sure glad it wasn't my vette. Thanks AF for letting me rant!!!

Call the police to report it and turn it in to your insurance. While you're on the scene you might want to call insurance agent too.

No, fortunately it was a '91. This '67 (aka Trixie) will need paint soon, and I'm considering a 305 5 spd conversion. I washed Trixie today and went for a spin to clear it out. As for the 91, now IT needs paint too. Almost convinced to do them myself just to be sure I have extra. The 91 had fresh paint, but it was a grade "D" job, still it would have been fine for awhile...

There is another member on here that has a 67 just like yours. Nice looking rides.

I'll have to look for that 67. I'm also more apt to keep driving the '91. Makes for good canon fodder. It was like an omen: don't drive the vette.

I hate idiot drivers like that. I'm in the middle of a family vacation and yesterday we were travelling down I-15 south of Salt Lake City in our motorhome and there were 5 lanes. We were in the far right. Some idiots were weaving in and out of traffic racing each other(rush hour was just getting started) and they about joined into one car in the center lane coming from opposite directions, and so the one on our side swerved out into the side, hit a construction cone, sent it flying above his car and caused the 3 cars behind him but in front of us to slam their brakes. I was getting a mountain dew out of the refridgerator and my dad slammed the brakes and I almost fell down. We just barely avoided hitting the car in front of us, which would have caused a huge pile-up. The two assholes who caused this floored it and caught the next exit, seeing that some people were dialing their cell phones. Had i been in my firebird, i would have chased after them and raised hell.
