looks great, aside from the 35mm ignition wires. I'm guessing that is the Monogram/Revell kit? You did a great job!

While I commend the little individualistic touches like the custom wing and the number roundels, quite honestly this build falls a little short of the mark.

The window surrounds, which on this car were chrome trim anyway, are unevenly brush painted, the wheels and tires are an oversized 1:24th scale set that look tractor-like on this 1:25th scale kit (a set of wheels and tires from Perry's Resin, Replicas and Miniatures Co. of Maryland, or Mini Exotics, or kit bashed from the Revell 1967 Corvette Coupe would've been much more appropriate), and the detail work in the engine bay is both out of scale and inaccurate.

Overall, the effort to improving the model is evident, but the execution isn't there and the result is rather toylike. It's good that you're putting in the effort to try superdetailing and scratchbuilding, but finishing and assembly techniques need to be mastered, first.

I actually like this alot. The fat tires make it look hardcore, and the engine looks good! It looks good but maybe it might look better if it had a front bumper that went to the ground, if you know what I mean. Kind of like the fairlady in wangan midnight. But anyway great build!

This is a neat build, I agree that there are some small changes that could be made to make it seem more realistic. Keep on building and improving your skills with every build, keep in mind the concept of scale when adding things and have fun with it!

Good effort. We all have to start some where and your doing alot more of the small stuff and modifications that I wont try yet.

Some people need to remember what there kits looked like when they first started. Alot of people havent got the funds for all the flash kit and goodies needed for detailing kits. Some make do with what they've got or what the can find.

Sweet old 240z! Plug wires look a bit big, but that could just be the angle the pic is taken...
Looks nice though!

35mm plug wires = better spark..... right? (if the current ever gets through)

regardless, nice build. I have yet to accomplish that kind of detail, regardless of how accurate it is.
