I thought they would just post up without having to leave the forum...
I took these the other day after a cleaning. When I figure this posting photos thing I will post more pics...
Ok. This is my first attempt at posting pics. What can I do to actually post them on here instead of having to be re-routed to photobucket...

Nice rig.
Always liked the Grand Cherokees. Parents had a 1997 a while back, but that one had some ECU issues.

not bad for an old man ;)
not sure if you care, but there is a local supercharged gtp like yours that I see every month at the drags, he ways hits mid to low 14s, i think last month he hit 14.2 or something.

Yeah, sounds like he's about where I would like to be. Probably running a 3.4 pulley w/supporting mods and tuned. I hope to run 14.6ish here soon. I dont want to go to the track while its so hot... Maybe next Wednesday I'll hit it and see if I have any gains from my mods yet...
It sure as hell feels alot more aggresive down low and up top since I got the Intense PCM and correctly installed my FWI and now that I'm running a 180 t-stat my car is running a whole lot cooler and from what I know about this engine thats a good thing...
Keeping it cooler reduces something called knock retard. I feel wierd even saying that, but the cooler the engine is the lower the KR the better performance and ability to drop more pulley size for more boost. Thats why supporting mods need to be done first before each pulley size drop.
By time you get to a 3.0-2.8 pulley the car is pretty heavily modified and pretty fast running mid to low 12's @ 110-115ish

Yeah another name for that is called pulling timing and getting an increase in detonation (very bad). A way to help reduce the chance of pulling timing and reduce the chance of increase of detonation is to run a higher grade of gas, over here it's 93 might be 91 in your area, dont know, if you have 93 available use that instead of 91, better cooling in your engine bay, Royal purple Ice does wonders, flush your coolant and when you fill it back up add a bottle of RP Ice. Upgrading your fueling maps helps to allow more fueling into the areas where you are pulling timing

Yeah, I use Sunoco gas and I run 94 most of the time and 93 the other. I found a place that carrys 100 octane so next time I hit the track I'm gonna run a couple gallons of that to...

woah, i'd stay clear of anything higher than 93 unless you are tuned for it. It could do more harm to your car than good and you might actually run slower.

Sunocos in the north have always had 94. It's not any more special than the 93. Its been quite a long time since I've lived in NJ but if I remember Sunoco used to carry 86 (economy), 87 (regular), 89 (plus), 92 (super) and 94 (ultimate). Most places usually carry 87 (regular), 89 (plus) and 93 (super) near me.
I've always understood that you should always run high-test when running a forced induction set up.

yeah but not up to 100, And as I said before to reduce any risk in damaging you engine I would run only 93 since the car isnt tuned for anything higher than that. BTW the sunco here offers 110 octane, but their sales have declined here because the cops have been getting very aggressive as of late and there isnt much organized racing going on here.

My wife filled her car (1.8t) with 95 octane race boat gas once by accident. That was over 100k miles ago. I'd have to hear some stories about high octane fuel messing up FI set-ups before I believe it. I know that you don't need high octane fuel for non-FI set ups. My nephew in-law runs 87 on his 4bbl carbed tweeked crate engine in his 70's Sebring Satellite and he runs better times than with higher octane. But that carb shit is all Greek to me anyway...
I get what you're stating though. With 100 octane or higher you would want to run higher boost...

I can't give you examples cause I don't have any, but the manuals for both the jetta and rx-8 both say run 91 octane but we dont have 91 here so i use 93, I dont think I would go higher than that mainly because im already running higher than the recommended amount on the stock fueling maps.

also, if you go into the 100s, its been said that you can kiss your o2 sensors goodbye.
mind you, id love to see what you can do on higher octane, but the stock fuel maps arent tuned past 91 or so.

I'm glad you said something. I was under the impression if I ran higher octane than my car would run better but after a little research I found you to be right...
I am told that 91 would be fine unless I'm seeing KR but stock cars allthough seeing some KR at times are fine running just 91 but not more than 93...
Thanks Gotian...
