I have a 98 K1500 ECSB that I bought about 2 weeks ago and I have noticed a sort of rattle from the front susp. It seems like mostly the front left, but its hard to pinpoint. It doesnt happen on every bump that I hit, but it seems to be becoming more frequent. Its sort of a rattle/popping noise and I can sometimes feel in the the brake pedal if Im applying brakes when it happens. I got under the truck and looked for anything that may be loose and the only thing I found was a little play in the tie rod to the driver side, other than that everything seemed tight. Bushings on the sway bar and lower A-arm look somewhat dry and cracked, possible cause? Seems like to me its between tie rod, bushings or possibly a ball joint about to go? Any suggestions on what to check, or if anyone else has had this any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Check the brake caliper, then do a dry park test. Get under and have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth. Look for loose joints. No play. Jack up the truck and use a pry bar or long 2x4 and pry up on a tire and watch the ball joints.

Also check the shock mounts for tightness.
