Hi, I am new to SF bay area, and am looking for a cheap car. It would be nice to get some thing that could take me around the country side to see a little bit, but mainly I hope to tool around town in this automobile. I'm looking at a camry w/ high miles and was wondering what some experts might think. Take a look at the posted sale. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/389420139.html
Thanks a bunch,
Luke

If you can live with those problems (I probably could) then go for it. Maybe find out how much it would cost to fix that gas gauge problem.

:runaround: Thanks for the suggestions. I was mostly just uncertain on the milage. The Bay Area is ALWAYs Chilly (That's coming from some one that loves Midwest summer humidity), so no AC wouldn't be a big prob unless I was to roll to the central valley on a midsummer day.

I would get it looked at before you buy and if you buy then I would perform all routine maintenence work regardless of its condition. Otherwise, its a Toyota. Its good for 339k.

Well, other than the fact that it isn't the cheapest car you could buy, it doesn't seem like a bad deal. But I'd definitely look at it first, you'd be surprised by all of the stupid things people that don't know any better do to their cars.

I know, some of these people are idiots... I tell by how they come to a stop and start about 20ft from window at a major four way. These people have absolutely no respect for their cars! We'll see how this Dutch woman treated it when I take it in to the shop.
