93 GM Funky steering

93 GM with 100,000 miles with funky steering. Pulled to the right, I switched sides with the tires and it tends to pull to the left and some times feel like you are balanced on some thing and leads both ways. Tires have good tread but are 6-7 years old. Front end alignment was checked, no adjustments. Tires are Michelin.

Same vehicle will sometimes have a moderately hard shift. Fluid has never been changed. Is this my "likely" problem?

Try rotating the tires front to rear and see what that does.
