Aloha, I have a 199 Buick Regal LS and have just replaced the ignition switch. All lights work except for the emergency flashers now. I have checked the fuses and still no luck. Can anyone tell me where to look next?

The emergency hazard flasher pushbutton is part of the multifunction switch (MFS). Were they working before the ignition switch was replaced?

The ignition switch/harness assembly and MFS are commonly connected at that big electrical connector block with that 7mm securing screw below the steering column. The MFS connectors are the two outer pieces you had to remove when replacing the ignition switch and harness. So double check that connection point and reseat the connectors. Check for broken wires.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the hazards did work before we replaced the switch and yes, we did ohm the switch out on the gray side and found that the orange wire on the MFS is what powers the hazard lights. After tracing it out and playing with it they still did not work. Then we took a break and went back down to look at it and suddenly they started working again. Unfortunatley now, we do not know why, but at least they are working. If anyone has any further insight, that would be great.
