Hi, I really need some quick assistance/answers.I have a 4.0 2001 olds Aurora. The car is one of the best rides I've had.Woke up this morning and changed the oil,oil filter, air filter. When done changing those stuff I started the car and moved it a little ways from where I did the work.Even though I knew the car was very low on fuel I left it running to go and move something out of the way. Before I could get back to the car the engine shut off, and automatically I thought it was the fuel,I tried starting it a few times but would not catch just kept turning which is normal if the car is out of gas. After a few attempts I went to the gas station and got some gas in a container. After putting the gas in the car did the same thing,so figuring that maybe I didn't put enough gas in seen that it is such a big engine I went and got a second set of gas and after putting this second container of gas in the gas guage then moved up which I figured after seeing the guage the car should start now seen that the guage wasn't reading empty anymore. But the car is still just rolling and not catching this confused Me.I went ahead and changed the fuel filter and with the fuel pump side of the fuel filter connection off tried bumping the engine to see if the pump was pumping the fuel into the filter and on to the injectors but no fuel came out like it suppose to.I don't know what to think/do now.If anyone can help Me solve this problem I would really appreciate this as this is My only car. Thanks in advance for your prompt and effecient assistance.

Well if you didn't unplug any wiring when you did all this stuff check the fuses to see if one is blown , specifically the fuel pump.

There are three fuse blocks in these cars.
Under dash, under hood and under rear seat this one if memory serves me right has the fuel pump in it. If you have the owners manual it will tell you in it.
