my wife TRIED to build a '32 3 window Ford, but it met it's demise quickly, so I had to strip it all down and show her how it was done.

My ex-girlfriend built a few. She was afraid to do the body so I painted them for her. But she did an excellent job with all of the rest

Yeah, my husband builds- kinda slowly though. He's definitely good at painting (and not just the living room). :evillol:

My wife tried her hand at it. Started with slammers and worked her way up through snap togethers to full detail glue kits. About to skill level 2.
She's a natural at airbrushing, but not so keen on hand painting and final cementing of little parts. She can do it, but doesn't enjoy that part.
She hasn't built for a while, I think she just wanted to give it a try since I'm into it so much. Now she is just a critic of my work...
Or maybe it was that I told her she had to clean up the airbrush when she was done with it?
But she does know what she's looking at and is a pretty decent judge of quality building and painting... - Mark

Yeah, my wife knows what to look for as well. She has actually critiqued my work quite well. Most of the time she's dead on with what she suggests, others, it's just a matter of taste, but what can I say she has good taste! haha

Ah..I feel lucky for those who's significant other pays much attention to their hobby.
My gf just goes "wow" when I show her a model then turns straight back to the tv...*sigh*, but at least she's ok with me spending money on it

Don't worry Steve, I too get that alot, but that is usually when she's into something and doesn't realize that she just blew me off.
