97 GrandAm Fuse Question

will someone tell me what would happen if I put in a 15 rated fuse in a circuit that required a 20a rated fuse?? and please give your reasons for why or why not:rolleyes:

it might work for a while, but if its calls for 20amp and you put in a smaller 15amp it'll just blow the first time a load is on the circuit.
