how much does a stripped down crx weigh? i mean no engine. no tranny. no wheels. no spindles. no interior. just the dash. all windows. doors on. hatch on. no power anything. no rear wiper. everything else still in place though. like wiring and fluid lines and the like. and about how much does the stock coat of paint weigh? or the car completely paint stripped? i'm planning on an upcoming project and i want this to be my car. or if someone could put a link to this info that's be greatly appreciated.

heh.. do some math... you can get weights for all the parts and stuff, you'll pry just have to try to think of everything and add it all up, then subtract from the total weight of the car..

This forum and www.justgoogleit.com are good resources

I'm assuming you already know the curb weight of the car. This link could help..apparently this guy weighed every part in his interior. Not sure if its acura or not but most of the parts would be similar. Take it for what its worth: http://www.gtcars.ca/online/honda-acura/41867-weight-reduction.html

I'd say it depends on which model you get. The Si was the heaviest because it had the sunroof motor and all that jazz. The HF was the lightest because it had nothing special in it. The DX was the middle of the two. I would guess that a DX model weighs about 2000lbs.... remove the engine, tranny, strip the paint and interior and you may get it down to 1700-1800lbs. This is just a guess though.
