Hi, I have a Nissan Quest 2007 with 7900 miles, I took the car to service becasue the steering wheel was shaking while braking at freeway speeds (above 50 mph). The service agent told me that is common in that kind of vehicle due to the heat, the disk brakes get warped due to this and that he has seen this very offen on minivans and SUV's. My concert is that this is happening on new vehicle with only 7900 miles, does anybody know more about this?
I guess that Nissan should improve que desing or quality of the disk brakes if this is happening in so short period of time.

Unfortunately, this is a problem a many new cars/fans and even trucks :(. Usually, dealers will replace the rotors while the vehicle is under the B/B warranty, but after that point, you are on your own... And even under the B/B warranty, they might try to weasel out of it!
I am a mechanic, so I just buy another set of set of rotors (my cost ~$40 per side) and hope that they last me a few years. But 7800 miles is extremely soon to be facing this problem! Hopefully your next set or rotors will be of higher quality.
