What would James Bond's first car be?

I've always wondered. James Bond finishes school. He gets his license. His parents give him 2 grand, he's saved 3.

James Bond has $5000 to buy his first car. What do you reckon he'd get?

My first thought would be some kinda 80s Japanese racer. But there's no class there. It has to be something with real style, a budget Aston Martin. Maybe a coupe, maybe a sedan - I can't really see Bond in a hatchback.

Pretty sure it wouldn't be anything japanese. I also don't think there is such thing as a budget Aston Martin. First car...... maybe an MG or Z3.....Boxter maybe.

First of all, which James Bond are we talking about? The old one from the 70's, the Casino Royal James Bond? It would definitely be british. Remember bond was a wild kid, arrogant, picks fights, It'd be british but I don't think refined.
