ok so my friend brian has a really loud blazer and he was revving it so i did a litttle rev. he went flying and i did a little cherp with my tires. he made a quick turn and i was following him but this off duty fireman guy tryed to follow him fast but i kinda cut in front of him cause i didn't think he was going that fast. so we pulled into a lot and he came up and yelled at my friend with the blazer saying that he was gonna take his licence plate down and that he was gonna get tagged. and he look at me and said if you pull out like that again ill have you arrested. but thats all he said to me and he was flipping on my friend. so we both left and now i heard that they are sending me and him a citation in the mail. when i don't even think he got my licence number but it is very possible that he did. im afraid im gonna get points on my licence, i don't want my parents to find out, could the citation just be a warning or is it for sure a fine with points?

Thank you so much,
Alex

I think you answered your own question...."off duty fireman guy".

I wouldn't worry about it, unless you get something in the mail. It's certainly possible for him to make a citizen's arrest, but the way I understand it, it's unlikely that it will stick - especially since it's two of you versus one of him.

Just take it easy for awhile in case he has a buddy on the police force that will be watching you.

:iagree: In my area, the police have to witness the infraction to issue a ticket, they cannot issue one on the word of a witness.(Can you imagine if they did?:uhoh:) A person can inform the police and they can keep an eye out for more infractions, especially if they get multiple reports from more than one individual.
