Hello,
I have a small issue with my 2002 Grand Caravan, the temeture control for the driver side does not seem to switch to cool all the way. I have the manual type controls with the split slider.
The passenger side will blow cold air but the driver side will not. Any ideas how to fix this?
It will go to full heat but not full cold....
Thanks in advance!

The ventilation system may just need to be recalibrated. Try one of these procedures: http://www.allpar.com/fix/codes-climate.html

Non of those fit the Climate control in my van. I have 4 buttons and 3 knobs with manaual sliders.
I did check the actuators and they appear to be moving the blend doors all the way in both directions.
Any ideas? Is there a heat valve that may not be closeing? It's odd that it's colder on the passenger side then the diver side.

I had my '02 T&C at the dealer yesterday for this same issue, as my local mechanic verified that all four blend doors are working well and couldn't get any farther with diagnostics - thus it went to dealer.
The dealer said that the condenser is leaking and that the freon is low. Apparently, there is also a heater core on the driver's side which affects that side a bit (makes it warmer) AND the evaporator is cooled from the passenger side first. So problems compound and they want to replace the condenser.
I don't like $1,000 repair quote so will investigate further. I plan on recharging the system with 134 w/ leak fix and dye so perhaps I can stem a small leak if there is one and see a large one if it is there.
They said it was a known issue with condenser inlet pipes leaking . . . I'll watch this thread and post more as I work on it this weekend.
Best of luck to you on yours - if you find more please post.
BTW, I tried the reset codes page referenced above a month or so ago and couldn't find mine . . . I'l look again.
I have auto climate control, if that makes any difference.

More investigtion has revealed that while I may indeed have a small refrigerant leak the bigger issue is that the driver's side is always trying to heat and the passenger side has no heat.
On vent only (why didn't I try that before?!) the passenger side brings in normal outside-temp air but the driver's side is HOT (but, of course, not always!)
On full heat settings, driver's side shows no change in temperature and neither does the passenger side! Passenger side is not heating at all.
So, off to search these forums some more for "heater" issues. I've seen a few threads in that vein . . .
Best of luck to all.
