Blinker Bulb Replacement ??

Boy do I feel Stupid.:banghead: I need to replace the rear turn sig. bulb and when I pull the liner away from the back of the tail light from the inside of the trunk, I noticed that the tail light and blinker are one in the same bulb.
BUT.. When I pull the rubber plug out of the housing, all I see is a little round whole with the wire coming out. How do I replace the bulb through such a little whole??

Sorry to be so DUMB but I can't figure it out??

Sorry to bother you guys but I just figured out you had to take the WHOLE tail light off to get to the bulb.

Are you sure it's not replaced from the outside??? Some had a couple of screws to loosen, then you pulled the lens apart from the reflector assembly, pushpins hold in the front.. at least that's how my 99 wagon is..

In my 96' to replace the signal and taillight, you simply pull the trunk liner out and undo some bolts, pull the light out and replace the bulbs as necessary. I unfortunately haven't used an 02 Taurus since the tornado, and that was a rental.

I replaced mine today...dual filament bulb...replaced from the outside on the 2002. Remove the two black screws on the left side of the lens. Gently lift the lens from the body of the car. Rotate the black plastic bulb holder CCW and remove the bulb...good luck.

MediaRocker, I have a 94 Taurus GL, I replaced both my rear window break lights from the trunk, had to almost climb in to reach it.

Thanks :) I found out yesterday though when I slipped on my neigbor's dogs chew bone and fell in the trunk!
