91 PA keeps dieing

My 1993 PA dies, mostly no rhyme or reason. And a few times it's not wanted to start. I've replaced the battery, alternator and fuel pressure regulator. Now we think it might be the ignition coil. Does anyone know how to check the coils, what to look for, etc.? Thanks.

Did you replace the fuel filter?
