More Newbie ques...

Anyways...here are some questions I have

1. Are 91 Civic EX rare? I don't hear much about them being available. I had also seen on a stat sheet somewhere that they have a slight hp increase over Si.....like 112 over 108 for the Si...lie or truth?

2. Got some reverse gauges...should be here today, do they crap out quickly? Sort of like these but for manual tranny

3. Do they make body hits for 91 sedans???? I have not found a damn thing!

4. Anyone try the intake sensor resistor mod? I made a stuipid mistake buying a cheapo resistor on ebay without looking into it enough. ANyone try it? Does it work? I know I'll need to run premium gas with it.

5. Anyone put a prelude or other oem looking spoiler on their sedan?

Thanks for any help. Sometimes I feel like my car is the ugly stepchild of the civic world, but I like it so who gives a shit.

1. The 4g Civic Ex sedans are pretty rare and they have the same powerplant and output of the Civic/Crx Si. It has the 108 hp d16a6.

2. I don't know about the gauges but my guess would be they will be good for awhile.

3. The bodykits made for the 4g 4drs are pretty hideous. I know kaminari and wings west made similar kits for the 4dr but they are pretty ugly and outdated.

5. I have seen some 4drs with oem looking spoilers but I don't know exactly which cars they came off of.

I too have seen a couple of 4g sedans with OEM looking spoilers on em, but not sure if that was a stock option or what. Whats cool about your EX is you already got MPFI which makes a swap a little easier if you are into that.

nc_rex once told me the EX has a slightly different geared tranny than the si. i don't know for sure myself. however i tend to believe it. he was imfamous for taking several various parts from all the 4th gen civic and comparing them side by side. he is a mad scientist...i don't think he enjoys anything more than finding a part to fit another car ;)

any way...just thought i'd throw that in for debate. maybe someone else has seen or heard about the ex tranny?
