I recently had some service done at the local dealer. When looking at my invoice I noticed the comment "Reprogram Onboard Vehicle Computer to Monitor Tire Pressure".
Is this something new and how does it work?
Thanks in advance.

What year?
Did they charge you to do that.
Some of them have a reset button or procedure to reset system after light comes on.
Most of the low tire systems check wheel speed threw wheel speed sensors.
Some have a special valve stem with a sensor that tells the system what wheel speed is.
If a tire gets low the wheel speed changes and trips the low tire system.
