Just from a custom grind cam, headers, cai, and muffler, of course tuning brought it all together.

Here is a dyno chart of an '06 Silverado , reg cab, 5.3L.

I know you guys like pics and data so here you go:

What does the Blue line represent? If that's stock then it only looks like a 50 HP increase. I don't know how to read a Dyno Chart but, the difference in both highs is only 50 HP.

Still your truck probably sounds stompy.....Nothing like a big cam to get things rocking...

What you're looking at is HP and TQ , the blue line is TQ, red line is HP.

I didn't overlay the stock values, I just printed out the final numbers. If I were to lay the stock one over the final chart, you'd see another red line hovering around 224hp, about 100hp less than the other red line.

hope this helps,

I'm not aware of the guidlines here, so i wont post any prices, you can email me though, [email protected] I just wanted to show how much potential these trucks have with very little mods. And this truck is a great daily driver.

to answer your questions, the cai was just an inexpensive cai kit, they all work the same. I think it was a kn. We do all of our custom tuning with hptuners.

ya, we installed the cam for the customer, it's not bad at all and it's something an individual can get done over the weekend with all the right tools.

hope this helps,
allen

Wow,
Thanks for the clarification. I'd really like to do the Nelson Performance chip in my truck just can't afford it right now. Maybe next year. Lot's of guys on here rave about the chips and how you really wake the engine up with your tunes.
Guess I've gotta start saving now...

Thanks guys, and chuck16, I look forward to it!

I'll try to post up some more results of installs we do. We get tons of requests for "how much does this mod make"?
So, we'll start doing them for you!

That's pretty cool when the owner of a Major Business like this steps up and interacts with the public. Thanks for posting up here, Mr Nelson.

hey if you take away the cam and headers what do you think the gains will be on that truck. I have the CAI and exhaust and about to get the tune or programmer not sure which one though. By the way who ever thinks about the K&N intake I was very pleased with mine. I couldnt tell much on low end but as soon as the needle hit about 3500 that tach launched along with the added good sound
