Well havent posted in while but here we go....went to a race event in norcal in may and this is how I did.....first time on drags......

races in order:

2005 SRT4 mods: Wga, Down pipe w/e-cutout, boost controller 13.610 1/4 @

all the races pretty much have a little story behind them but too lazy to type all that....if you want to know them just ask......just recently I also raced
civic coupe with a h22 swap with bolt-ons.....35mph-100mph won by 4 cars and pulling from a 35mph roll and 2 cars from the dig....traction owns me....same night also raced a LT1 twice from a 35mph roll....35mph-100mph first race bet him by 3 cars til 100mph...second race gave him a car and beat him by 2.....and just this past weekend got in it with a 2000 camaro SS (mr.ls1) well this race went something like this....on the way home from cruising giving up on the night cause I could find a decent run I look in my passenger side mirror and find what appears to headlights from a lowered car...little behold he pulls up besides me and its a maro ss...went down like this....

ls1: pulling up next to me him and friends get hyphy....
me: not in to that shit so I just shake my head while my boy already knows what im going to do...
LIGHT TURNS GREEN SO I SPIN SOME TIRES ALL THE WAY TO THE NEXT LIGHT....
ls1: pulls besides me laughing him and his friends....is that all you got hahahaha...
me: shaking my head once again I begin to launch....
LIGHT TURNS GREEN WE BOTH TAKE OFF SPINNING FIRST AND SECOND IN TO THIRD I SEE THEM A CARS LENGTH BACK SLOWING TO THE NEXT LIGHT...

no...actually the track wasnt a track at all...its really an air strip just borrowed and set up for the race event.....heres what it looks like...this is last years event....im in there racing a silver 281 bolt-on stang im on the left side...I think its at 6:43min into the vid....http://youtube.com/watch?v=1ksVdswSodM

Hey let's be nice now, Musashi pulled off a 15.4 with a LS2...sorry musashi, I just haven't busted your balls in a while. :wink:

I have actually run across that too. It seems like most of the people I have run across with LS1 maros and birds seem a little anti-everything that is not their car. On the other hand, most of the Mustang owners I have run across seem pretty humble about their car. That is just from my experience of course. Nice runs though. :thumbsup:

oh hes deffinately a 13s car......you can tell simply by his trap....but like I said before tires work wonders.....and when your trying to launch on a gravel filled road your 13sec car will sometimes turn into a 15sec car.....if he had an auto he would have done alot better cause most of the auto ls1s that I have raced do....BTW have you tracked your car yet....

well if I was actually fast it might....but in reality Im only a high 13s car on the streets consistantly....my best street tire e.t was 13.5 @ 105 mph and my best overall e.t running 225/55/16 BFGs DRAG RADIALS I just happen to muster a 13.1 @ 106mph....at least I know what my car is capable of just not me....

anyone with street tires out there became a shitty ass driver....you have to remember this isnt a actual track....but yeah we did have alot of amature drivers out there....

(SWEET) in anycase ya kingdon back in may was alot better than the previous year, i worked the event and we did what we could to prep the track i.e. dragged the first forty or so feet with slicks and then VHT'd the crap outta the first twenty and then misted probably thirty feet after that. and the timing system might have been off set at least the trap speed sensor so the times and traps are a little off.

o and the "HYPHIE" guy in the maro was an ass, hands down. but that was one hell of a race, i did what i could to try and keep up but by the time you guys had hit that bend in the road i was only doin maybe 70ish... HELL of a race though

Good runs. The guy I sold my old WS6 runs his car around your track I believe. I believe he ran a 13.2 @ close 111mph on street tires. He has yet to run with dr's.

and that just goes to show not all cars and drivers are created equal....and just because a car is rated at a certain speed....does not mean it will always happen.....if you track race alot you will understand what im talking about....you will be suprised on the times alot of these cars hit....

Lets do it Ill meet you half ways hahahaha j/p....actually if I could I would...whats your best times in the nsx and 240....yeah that day was actually a pretty good day for me....I was pretty consistant through out....my last two passes I tried something different....I lowered my drags to about 20psi and I tried launching a little lower a boom I hit a sweet spot....I lost MPH but I also drop my E.Ts....

i haven't ran the 240 with its new setup. but with the old setup i could not go faster than 99mph which was pretty embrassing. I haven't taken the nsx to the track yet because i'm at 90K with my original clutch. it cost $2K to change the clutch.

my guessimate is probrably mid 13's at 105-107mph +/-. that is what most memebers runs on the forums in the real world, not magazine numbers. magazine numbers they run 104ish stock. similar to your stock SRT. damn i just realise that doesn't sound good for my car at all. hahah ( no offense to your car 209 ) =)

only in the first years. i guess they didn't know how to drive cars. as the car got tested in later years with the same setup the e.t. dropped by half a second.

after driving a quick n/a car again, the feeling is totally different from driving a boosted car. power is very progressive, and you feel the pull in your gut. a boosted car, the power comes on hard, but kind of dies down up top. I prefer the n/a powerband more. Even though ultimately I know the boosted setup is much much fast, but if i can run 110mph in the 1/4 n/a i'll be happy.

alot of guys gets close with intake headers, and exhaust. some guys with freaks can hit 107mph with just a intake. and this is with the slower 3.0 liter ones like mine. the freaks for the 3.2 liter ones can hit 300whp n/a with just 3 bolt ons.

I don't think I own a freak but I already have headers on the way. I already took 100 lbs off the car and still retain everything that i need. I also plan to add another lighter flywheel and have a custom crank pulley made for me at my old job at Unorthodox racing. My currents mods are weight reduction, Intake, Intake fender scoop and exhaust.

Then I think 110mph in the quarter n/a is very possible. I shift slow but I only need to shift twice. 1st gear with my gearing can take me to 53 mph, 2nd takes me 89mph and 3rd takes me 125mph. so that really helps my crappy skills.

hahah its a 5 speed. I blew by my friend on the highway in 2nd. He was doing 70mph and i just kept it in second and kept on pulling.

plus auto nsx's are dirt slow. It can only rev to 7K instead of 8250, the auto has a weaker cam profile for better low end tq to make up for the power robbing torque converter, and only makes 250hp. a strong stock 5 or 6 speeds puts that that much stock to the rear wheels.

yeah the car is definitly a highway runner. as the car gets faster, i can feel the car get sucked down to the ground by its aero. I have yet to redline 3rd gear yet on the highway, too much traffic or not brave enough lately. I only got her to 115mph in 3rd with more revs to go but not enough road.

My year the car can do 168mph. The newer headlights style can do 175mph stock.

current weight is 2929 lbs.

with headers it will be another -15 lbs.

You would think the car would be lighter from the factory. But compared to everything else in its class its 3500-3700 lbs. Only the RX-7 is lighter but the NSX's structure is rock solid, and everything is held together with like 50 screws, and its as wide as Supra.

those STis were in the 12s....and yeah that ford GT driver wasnt doing so well....I wish I was in 12s....best so far is a 13.1 on drags....but mainly a consistant 13.8-13.5 on street tires....FWD owns me....

Isn't that extremely difficult with FWD and street tires? You're gonna need an extremely sticky track with a little downhill start. Do you take the spoiler off just for racing? Is it that heavy?

it is...but if your pushing a decent amount of power with skill full driving then 12s should be possible.....in that vid was last years event which I was experimenting on a few visual mods....but I pretty much desided to sell all the visual stuff and go for that stock look....and no the spoiler is actually pretty light....

well from what i've seen is that since you can't traction E.T. you need to trap speed E.T. your trap speed is very good, but you would need to be atleast 110-112mph to get into the high 12's with just pure power and no grip off the line.

Yup whenever i look at time slips, I never look at E.T. Trapspeed is what i'm interested in. E.T. just shows how good of a driver you are, but trapspeed is what determines the true speed of a car.

Well, some advice to you. Get to the track as frequently as you can, if you can't do that...work on your launches in the midlle of the night in a deserted industrial area (and don't tell me are none, because I was just there on the 10th of this month off of the French Camp exit and witnessed two GT 'stangs doing some runs,lol) Because, fact of the matter is...once you get that car to 300 fwhp on that stock turbo, you will have an 11 sec 1/4 capable vehicle. Just up to you to extract the best driver out of yourself :-)
