ZC engine block codes

okay today some dude in a 1st gen Integra pulls me over at the car wash and asks about my car. I show him my swap and my mods and shit and then he says he has a ZC in his car that he put in at the VoTech school here. now, i know that the d16 DOHC looks exactly like the ZC, so i looked on the block where the engine code was supposed to be to see if it really was ZC only to find that i couldnt find the engine code. where are they located and what are the designations for USDM 1.6 DOHC and JDM ZC DOHC?

Why would you swap in an engine with only like 12 more hp?

The ZC will have ZC stamped on the block the USDM version will have D16A1 it also will have a olive brown oe valve cover.

yeah thats what i thought. the dude was probably full of shit. and now that i think about it, you'd have to use a motor mount kit as the ZC is a direct bolt in to 4th gen civic, but the d16a1 wont directly bolt in. im guessing he probably just didnt want to say he had a stock shitter next to my fly ass pimpin ass civic :smoka:

oh and btw, i couldnt find the engine stamp on the block. i looked where they normally are and there wasn't anything. the guy said "oh its on the bottom" :/
