My friend has a 97 z24 and he's pretty sure one of the rods is bent. Im assuming he mean psiton rods. Im curious as to what the average is that a shop would charge to replace one? Also, the car is not a daily driver so its not a problem if it is sitting around for a couple days. Would me and him be able to replace it ourselves? We have the tools and we can make the time. I heard that you need a special tool to get the head off of the rod and that a shop would have to do that for us. I realize that this would be a major project.
If we wanted to later put a supercharger on it this is my next question.
Also, with a turbo its better to get low compression heads, is it the same with a supercharger? Or do you want high compression ones?
Thanks for the help
