Vegas, Baby!!

Saw Rush yesterday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas! Yeah, i made a trip down to Sin City, it was nuts. Rush blew me away, I'm so glad I saw this band. I was never as big a Rush fan as I was of Yes, but after this performance, I've found myself not getting enough of them. They're new album is in stores, pick it up, its pretty good.
Monday before that, I went to The House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay Casino, saw Behemoth. They kicked fucking ass! They didn't have a very long set, but it was brutal for the short time they were on. The other bands there sucked, 3 Inches of Blood, Hatebreed, and the headliner, Lamb of God. Whatever, I've gotten flak for not liking those bands. Some fucker there started talking all about how Hatebreed was God, and after i shot them down, he "seeked" me out in the mosh. fuckin' loser, i hate those shits, me being a small guy, obviously didn't hit back fair... kicked him in his knees and continued on to the bar and got a New Castle.

That was Vegas, as far as music goes.

I'm a fan of LOG and 3 Inches of Blood myself, but I'm not gonna try to kill you if you don't like them. All ya gotta do is when the fat guy is coming at you in the pit, duck. He goes flying, you carry on with your evening. I'm gonna be seeing that same show in a couple weeks...will keep everyone posted.

P.S.: Hatebreed sucks

Hatebreed does suck. Lamb of God doesn't, i just don't like 'em much. 3 Inches of Blood is actually pretty good, but honestly, i really thought they were terrible live, which is why i said they sucked. They put out the least energy, didn't really try to entertain the crowd, and honestly, just seemed like they were playing really, really fucking hungover.

Also doesn't help that one of 3IOB's singers isn't on tour with them (throat problems). Should be interesting to see how they do next week...maybe they were hungover.

i believe its a requirement to be drunk or hungover on stage when playing in a metal band... all they gotta do is sharpen their skills in that state, lol.

Drunk guitar playing is quite the challenge that I've undertaken many a time. My guitar is worse for the wear for it. Kinda has that vintage look now.

And to quench the hangover, Children of Bodom's lead singer/guitar player has been known to drink Jack Daniels mixed with Pepto Bismal...gets you drunk and cures a stomach ache!
