Car won't start with key

Hello Everyone.
I have a 2003 Dodge Stratus Coupe SXT, not sure of engine size. Here my problem. My car won't start with my key. It will however start by using my after factory remote start. This all happened after my son and a friend took out an after factory amp and whoopher. When I try to start my car with the key I get nothing, no sound and nothing lights up on the dash. Any ideas?

Sounds like they disconnected the main ignition harness from the column.
