weird light problem

hi there,i just bought a 97 camaro with a 3.8 auto.my problem is since i changed the battery in the car the security light and airbag light are both ALWAYS on. i mean even with the key out. when i turn the key ahead the abs light and front right turn light come on.the only way to turn these lights off are to remove the pwr acc fuse .to turn the front right light off of the turn i have to turn on my headlights.pls help me.:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

sounds like some serious electrical problems. the problem didn't exist before replacing the battery? why did you have to replace the battery in the first place?

changed the battery for the most common reason it was no good,old,wouldnt hold a charge anymore

now heres something really strange.
figured i would trace the wires from the dash took the dash panel out and reinstalled it everythings ok now. maybe reset a relay or something??

Most likely there some sort of glitch in a relay or the ECU and disconnecting the battery is what it would have needed to fix the problem, but I am sure you disconnected some plugs when you removed the dash and one fo those probably reset it for you. Good job on the troubleshooting!!
