Ok let's get started. I just got a 97 GTP on Thursday and wow is it ever a great car. So far I've added rims from my old Stealth to it (pic below). What should I do to it next? I was either thinking get the windows tinted, replace the speakers (no subs yet, just the 5 1/4 & 6x9s), or something to it performance wise (under $400 or so). I would only want to do something performance wise to it if it's going to make a pretty noticable difference tho. So what do you guys think I should do?

go with a 3.4 setup...make a cia its easy and cheap get rid of that ubend in the exhaust its really cheap cost me under 100 get some 104's(colder plugs) and a new 180 t-stat, a zzp pcm then get the 3.4 pully and beleive me you will see a big difference. ~joe

Because you don't want to spend much dough...Forget the racing stuff on a mid to high mile motor (an assumption) and perform maintenance to maintain current performance & install milder mods to improve it...Consider the following:
Recommendation #1
Give the car a complete tune-up.
Recommendation #2
a) R & R 195 t-stat, upper and lower radiator hoses.
b) Flush the radiator.
c) clean the exteriors of the radiator and condenser.
d) Flush & clean the radiator over-fill tank.
Recommendation #3
Blower maintenance - Remove and replace the coupler and change the supercharger's oil.
Recommendation #4
If you don't have 'em -- replace the rib belts and install new Goodyear Gatorback serp belts for a quieter running motor.
Recommendation #5
Due to your cars age, go through and inspect (replace as necessary) all the chassis/suspension components such as the front/rear struts, tie rods, lower A-bushings, motor & tranny mounts (my money is on you needing to replace the motor mount), both dogbone's bushings, and cradle bushings.
Recommendation #6
Reduce body roll and chassis flex while enhancing cornering capabilities with a GM wide body performance suspension kit from GMpartsdirect.com GM PART # pk12456148.
Recommendation #7
If you still have some $$ left, R & R blower pulley with 3.5" (no need for the PCM upgrade), colder plugs/t-stat, and then U-bend delete.
Recommendation #8
