Face it... it's better to be told what to do by a woman... you may as well get used to it now, before it's too late!

Pssst... the taco is gone... PI has taken over all!

I miss the taco...

But I love my TriHump!... except for one complaint. Since the exhaust comes up under the seat. It warms your right ass cheek up to about 700 degrees... and on a 90 degree day, it's not helpful.

I'm pretty sure once it breaks in, it'll cool down. Right now everything is tight and at maximum friction.

Raspy and Grunty for a lil 3-cylinder guy! runaround

-The Stig-
07-28-2007, 10:31 PM
Nope, 3rd Bike.

First bike was a 2000 Buell Blast (beginner)
Second Bike was a 1998 Yamaha SecaII 600 (crash bike)

So any plans to take it to any kind of track? Should be a mid to upper 10 second bike no?

-The Stig-
07-30-2007, 04:48 PM
Track, yes. 1/4 mile.. no

Road course tracks in the future when i can afford full leathers.

Although I'm sure it's plenty fast 1/4 mile wise though, not sure how fast it'd be. Fast enough all I know.

Triumph has always done a good job of making their bikes different, without being ugly. I like it, sharp!

Out of sheer curiousity I looked it up. It looks like one group tested it with 0-60 of 3.32 seconds and a near 11 second flat ET. And that comes to $5 please! :runaround:

I know they'll do a 165mph flat out... too fast for me on a bike thank you.

motorcycle_psycho

Mine does 145mph........ :-(

If we ever get in a top speed battle, I will have no choice but to carry some weaponry. Some Road Rash 3D stuff. Some chain, a crowbar, grenades.....victory is absolute!!!!

I wanna Daytona. Looks like I have no choice now but to speed up my plans of an R6 purchase.

-The Stig-
08-02-2007, 01:37 AM
Road Rash, man... that brings back memories. One of the greatest games ever.

Road Rash 3 for Sega Genesis was probably the best of the series.

The Daytona is a nice bike, although, you'll end up paying more for parts and service because it's British than you would with a Jap bike. I don't care though, it's different... all I care about. You see R6's and GSX-Rs all day, I still haven't seen a 675.

I hear a lot of "I didn't know Triumph still made motorcycles....." and they can't phathom that Triumph makes a sport bike. Funny stuff.

what's wrong with that Aussie, word on the street is you have the best looking knees in all Australia. The kangaroos swoon as you pass,

The mirrors on the Daytona aren't fixed... they're quite adjustible actually. It wouldn't make sense if they were fixed. Although, since the bike is 27.5 inches wide at the handle bars, and the mirrors are inset a small bit from that they don't get the best of a view. Infact, I get mostly my elbows in the mirrors and have to pull them in slightly to check whats behind me. Other than that, they're actually nice mirrors and have very little to no vibration at highway speeds.

I've always thought the Triumph bikes were sexy. They make the only naked bike I like. First purchase is a new car, next is a?bike. Do bikes have factory warrenties?

-The Stig-
08-03-2007, 01:15 AM
Yeah, my TriHump has a 2 Year/Unlimited mileage warranty.

Their new bike, the Street Triple 675 is going to be off the chain! Basically a naked version of the Daytona. They de-tune it slightly for more down low power for around town, but it'll still be stupid fast.

aussieidiot

maybe its a yank/aussie model name thing. i was looking at a 98 model daytona new. this was when i bought my gsxr instead.

i went to adjust the mirrors at the dealer and was politely told they weren't adjustable and would have to pay for breakages. then later a guy at work rocked up on one. he was shorter and suited him fine.

hey rich, have you seen my knees. there on www.ratemyknees.com complete with operation scars and missing kneecap bits. they are truly a sight to behold. add the fact that i'm white, pasty white in fact due to the aussie sun causing cancer within 15 minutes exposure.
