I have a 93 cutty with the 3.1L V6, curious if it'll run without problem if i remove the Catalytic converter, the O2 Sensor is before the cat, none after. so im assuming i'll get no codes. curious as to how the engine will run without the back pressure, I was told since its a V6 it wont have any trouble. I Just wanna be sure and see if anyone else did anything like this? thanx a bunch!

It should run fine with out the Cat if thier's no down stream O2.

You'll just spew out lots more pollution, see here (http://auto.howstuffworks.com/catalytic-converter1.htm), and contribute to global warming.

thankx !

oh i know all about how they work, and the types and such, its just so costly to replace it. and im not gonna have this car forever..so i thought i'd do the next best thing, plus its got a few exhaust leaks, only on the cat, and on the mufflers. im past the having the tough sounding car, now it sounds like a beater, so i wanna fix all tht crap
