removing top bolt from stuts

how do you remove the top bolt from the struts it spins when i use a ratchet
i AM TRYING TO REPLACE THE FRONT STRUTS ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Have you got the strut off the car yet? (If not you dont have to touch that center bolt yet)

i have gotten it off twice before first got it off thinking i all the tools i needed top bolt was a problem 2nd time bought offset wrenches thought it would work failed

You only need to remove the 3 mounting bolts to remove the strut.
Then when the struts off use a wrench or visegrips to hold the damper shaft.
Then remove nut.

Dont forget the coil spring compressor !!

yea be careful bro wen i put new springs in, that center bolt pops the hell up when it comes off
