You gotta get some side skirts on there, looks fugly without side skirts and matching paint, otherwise its nice. :D That interior paint is pretty cool. I like the body kit too, its one of my favorites.
With the interior paint it'd be weird to be driving and turn a corner, and have your interior all shift to a different color :P

No offense dude.... But paint your shit before you put it on... I know you want your kit on really badly but people are gonna clown you everywhere you go because it looks very rice. I have everything to do my JDM font conversion I'm just waiting for the time to get my car painted. It drives me and most of the people around here crazy when we see some kid in his ricer with a kit on that isn't painted. It looks kinda ridiculous. When it is all painted I will give you props because that will be tight. Just get it painted ASAP. :D

Woah there ponchy settle down... I am 16, a network administrator for an engineering company and work 20-30 hours a week. I have paid for everything done to my car including the car itself. You wanna talk about busting your ass go ahead. Work is alot more draining when you are in the working class I worked fast food and busted my ass at that, I too can vouch for how much it sucks. My question is why are you leaving on your car if you are going to take it off to get primered tonight? I understand wanting to test fit it to see how it looks on your car but driving around like that is rice mentality.

I can understand his point Quicksilver. I will probably end up having to put the bodykit on then paint it later. I don't consider that rice, I consider that doing what you can at the time. If you want to wait till you got the money to paint it then put the kit on, then go for it, either way is cool with me. The only way I consider that rice is if they have other rice things on there, such as an aluminum spoiler.

my kit isn't painted. my front end was crunched and i used the kit as replacement parts. there was no painting it before it went on. i was getting pulled over daily and spot checked for ins. by cops when my bumper was off. you better believe the kit went on the day it got here. i never painted the kit because i wasn't sure if i liked it. now i know i don't like it. i'm currently trying to find a gutted hatch for a project. that car can have the kit. until then...the si rolls an unpainted kit.

i'm sorry if you feel that is "rice".....i guess i'm just one BIG AZZ RICER, yO! :rolleyes:

i post on Street glow for a few reasons...i had neons WAY BEFORE FATF and still do to this day....i had 79 on my last car...and was fully sponsored..as for rice....CALL ME RICE but know what hurts even more than that...SEEING YOUR SLOWER RICE IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR....

Ami I agree with you. You did it because it was absolutly neccesary.... You can resell your kit and retain more of what you spent because the paint will not have to be stripped off to paint conform to the next users car (though alot of people just paint over). My main point was the kit needed to be painted ASAP because at the present moment the kit was on just to show it off. Dark Syde Rider has argued his case that he needed it on to paint and I will believe him, however in alot cases I have seen people roll around with an un-painted kit for upwards of a year. My opinion is that some of the modifications done to his car are that of what is associated with rice. Neons, stickers, lowered on steelies (nothing wrong with that :) ), rolling around with unpainted bumpers (but he is fixing that, good for him), and his ingnorant quasi-rice comments such as.. "CALL ME RICE but know what hurts even more than that...SEEING YOUR SLOWER RICE IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR.... Not only is that comment very poorly stated but also very elementary. Just by the way he is discorsing on the internet I would stereotype him as a ricer who goes around revving on people and trying to show off his common mods. That would be my stereotype of him if I indeed classified people into stereotypes by only one acquaintance, however I am not a person to pass judgement so quickly. I do not know dark syde and therefore shall not ridicule him anymore on what he does to his car. We all have different tastes and opinions, I was just trying to voice mine.

common mods huh...port an polish, bored out, over sized pistons, and uhh lets see A DEMON CARB...(thats right its been converted from PGM-FI to carburation....very common mods there....i see that every day..ohh and lets not for get my ricey exhaust now...that has caps for racing at the track..so i can run free flow on it... only common mod i have is spray (which has never been used)....also upgraded my cam...and ohhh yah this is all done with the 1.5 DX motor....yah im common...im rice.. KEEPS NODDING HEAD....geez imma go to pep boys now and get and auminum wing and some TYPE R stickers or even better ill get my GTR skyline badge :-D

fuel efficient yes but as for the set up i did...no its better for carb...i put a 2in. TB spacer gained 25-30HP to the crank on that alone...

Wow, all that in a matter of two weeks? Damn, I wish I could get service like that. The head alone took me at least 2 weeks to get.

When you say upgraded your cam, what is it? Sorry to sound like a prick, but most people who sink lots of money into a motor are willing to tell whats in it. Not just a general summary.

Personally I want to see some pics of the carb. Sounds like a really tight setup, and dark syde knows what hes talking about if his conquest ran 12's.

You cannot base a persons knowledge, by how fast their car runs.

I know plenty of money racers, who couldnt change their own flat tire if their life depended on it.

This is true. I know this guy that has a 2000 Si that runs 10's. Running 22 lbs of boost. Totally built the engine, tranny, etc..... Has invensted around 65K into that car. But he had everything built for him. I don't even think he has changed the oil himself. :rolleyes:

had my brother in law order my stuff for me (since he gets it next day through his shop) i do believe we used KMS for your cam...we did the port and polish ourself in 1 days (took bout 8hrs), also had the intake set up done before we even had the car at his shop..went to a parts yard and got the intake manifold and started messing with that about a week and a half ago...had it ready to go on in about a day and a half...we ported that out and got the header done also...im running a DC header on it right now...and then we hooked up a 75 shot to play with....the boring took 2 days at a local shop and we put the pistons all that good stuff in ourself...all in all took bout 3 days to put everything on and get her running..only prob is CHeck ENG. light is on because PGM-FI removed..

I love when people say you wanna race and than talk shit. I'm not being mean or anything, i mean i love D-series motors, but if your going to be like well hey lets race and see who wins than you better have some good shit to back it up. To me you can build a D-series to be pretty quick ( yes quick and not fast, fast is speed and any car will go fast if you give it 20 miles, quick is how soon you get there) but if someone want to talk shit on me and how fast they are they better have more than a couple bolt ons. I like the carb setup and all, i've got a friend with a set of dual webers and the car is quick and all but man what a gas hog for it being a 4 cyclinder. He's fun to play with, but the thing tht i'm trying to get at is if you want to get at someone by racing them than you should have something swapped and built pretty good. I guess i get that from where i come from...you don't really open your mouth unless you got something and to me a motor that came stock in a car isn't really something. I'm not being mean just my opnion, oh if you want to race someone than i have something in my garage that that should give a good fight.

ive got somthing too in the garage..425 HP ina 2000 lb car lol..but thats also 8cyl power lol and runs 10s but oh well..also bout the whole if it came in the car to start it isnt much..well ill try 2 get some video footage...and maybe you will change your mind :-D

i'm all about the d :D i don't care if it's stock or swapped. what impresses me is high hp or fast time with LITTLE money spent. anyone (who has it) can easily spend XXXX amount of dollars and be "quick"...i want to be shocked and amazed with cheap & efficent set-up.

i got better things to spend my money on...like a kick ass pair of shoes w/ bag to match :finger:

When it comes downto spending money i hardly spend any. I get B18a's for $400 (whole front of car) and i get get a B16a motor, just the motor for $400. I also have my favorite tool the welder that always make any part the right part. It's not about how much money you spend it's what you do with the money that you spend.

NO SHIT YOU CAN SEE THE PGM-FI...those were on there because we are doing the hood because i cant drive it w/out a hood and i cant close it w/a carb.......so its off while we make the hood.....2nd I never said i had a bunch of 10 second cars...i have a 73 vega wagon that runs 10s with a 350 small block chevy, then there are the starions....so do think you "clownin" on me because your not...and ill get some close up pix of that carb setup..hood should be done later tonight...

All of the CRX's I've seen with a carb setup fit under the hood fine. I'm intersted to see this setup,everyone does them different.

i'm about to lock this one kiddies....it's nothing but :biggrin2: attacks and defense.

This thread is getting whack though, I didnt get a shitload of attacks when I posted my evolution thread a little while back (although a lot of people told me to lower my car)

well lets see have you ever seen the size of a demon carb with a 2inch spacer plate...so add 2 inch to a carbed civic and try shutting the hood....AINT GUNNA HAPPEN..plus demon carbs are about 2 to 3 times the size of a honda carb...so yah NO SHIT it aint gunna fit now..now lets see lets add a bigger aircleaner..(adds anotehr inch or 2 we are now looking at about 6 or more inches extra added..now if you didnt flunk 1st grade math you should get the idea..).......i rest my case..and will have pics very soon

Wow, I have never seen a aftermarket carb design like that. Maybe I am not up to speed on that... Oh well. Pics would be nice.

thats because its custom its ment for a v-8 or 6 but we altered everything and custom made the spacer....ill get pics..

That's not the point. Its what has been presented in front of us, that is causing it. Stuff just doesnt add up.

Everyone is entitled to say what they want, so Dark Syde Racer if you don't want people to say stuff about you, don't give them anything to talk about unless you can back it up. I'm not callin BS on it, but you can say anything online, and people just have to take your word for it, which most people, like I am, are very reluctant to do.
