major help soon

99 neon sunroof wont work, the motor works and when u hit the switch it make a clicking noise and donest move at all. also its not seated all the way down because we have noticed some woater leaking when it rains so we need help soon and dont have the money to take it to a shop.

You should get at least the Chilton or Haynes manual, if not the real Chrysler Corp. Neon manual. I see them on ebay from time to time. I paid about $30 for mine, and saved that much in the first weekend. You have to remove the headliner to reach the mechanisms - so you could start figuring out how to do that. I know you arent supposed to remove the motor from the sunroof assembly unless the glass is in the fully forward 'parked' position. Otherwise the motor wont position the glass correctly when it is back together.

so im 90% sure its not the tracks, there is a wire or somthing that runs around the sunroof, it looks kind of like a pipe cleaner, i know that is broken. what is it what does it do and how expensive are they

damn i had that same problem like i said had my friends tried to fix it and what do u know they broke it even more so now i have to duck tape the sunroof so it does not come off hahahah
